The vision of A Word from the Lord is to share Biblical teaching using the instruments of radio, print, the Internet, and satellite technology so that people might discover the living Jesus for themselves and become more faithful followers of Jesus by hearing and applying the Word of God in their lives. In today’s world of confusing and conflicting messages from Church leaders, a major goal of A Word from the Lord can be summarized from Nehemiah when: “They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear and giving meaning so that the people could understand what was being read” (Nehemiah 8:8,NIV).

At the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia, everything we do centers around one purpose – improving our world through the power of philanthropy. On a fundamental level, we do that through managing funds held in trust, donated by individuals, organizations and businesses. Most funds are donor-advised funds, similar to savings accounts. But our goals expand far beyond managing funds. We desire to strengthen the communities we serve in Gwinnett, Northeast Georgia and beyond by providing leadership, addressing community needs and assisting individuals and organizations with their charitable giving.
Family Promise of Gwinnett County is a community based response that brings existing local resources together to help homeless children and their families regain their housing and their independence, while maintaining their dignity. We mobilize congregations of faith, community volunteers, and social service agencies. Through intensive case management and counseling, we address the underlying causes of homelessness. Together we are ending homelessness – one family at a time.
